Nigel Hill serves as Senior Lecturer in People and Farm Management and Associate Head of Department for Farm Business Management at Harper Adams University within the Harper Adams Business School. With prior industry experience as a Training Consultant for the Agricultural Training Board (now Lantra), he brings extensive agricultural sector expertise to his academic roles, teaching Human Resource Management, Personal Development, and Farm Business Management across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
His research focuses on Farm Business Management, Agri-Tech Economics, and Sustainable Food Systems through affiliations with the Global Institute for Agri-Tech Economics (GIATE) and Agroecology for Sustainable Food Systems initiatives. He specializes in Work Based Learning program development and employer engagement strategies, having managed industrial placements and negotiated studies courses to enhance student employability.
