Professor Nigar Sultana is a distinguished academic and researcher at Curtin University's School of Accounting, Economics and Finance within the Faculty of Business and Law. She holds editorial board positions for three prominent accounting journals and serves on Curtin's Academic Board. Her research focuses on sustainability, ESG, auditing, corporate governance, and gender diversity, with significant industry collaboration in sectors like mining and government. She has received multiple awards, including the 2022 Research Industry Engagement (Highly Commended) and 2019 FBL Researcher of the Year. Nigar has supervised 9 PhD and 8 Honours students, with 5 current PhD candidates.
