Nicolette P. Hass

Nicolette P. Hass is a Professor of Practice in the Psychology Department at The University of Texas at Arlington's College of Science. She received her Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of North Texas in 2007, following an MS (2005) and BA (2001) from the same institution. Dr. Hass joined UT Arlington as a part-time lecturer in 2007, teaching undergraduate and graduate I/O courses including employee selection and business psychology. She transitioned to a full-time position in 2010 and was promoted to Professor of Practice, establishing the I/O Psychology Center at UTA in 2012.

Dr. Hass's research focuses on applied industrial and organizational psychology with particular emphasis on employee selection, organizational behavior, business psychology, and employee attitudes and behaviors. Her work bridges academic theory with practical workplace applications, developing training programs, leadership frameworks, and organizational interventions. She has extensive experience in consulting for organizations including Raytheon Professional Services (2005-2011).

Her publications examine critical workplace issues including burnout in healthcare professionals, the historical development of industrial-organizational psychology, and gender and cultural considerations in organizational settings. She has contributed significantly to program development, creating business plans for professional master's degrees and internship centers that connect academic training with real-world application.

Her service includes leadership roles as Program Director for the I/O Psychology MS Program, Associate Chair (2016-Present), and committee work focused on student success, curriculum development, and academic planning across the College of Science.
