Nicolette Bannink

Nicolette Bannink is a Lecturer in Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast with extensive clinical experience spanning acute medical care, surgical units, palliative care, and community nursing. Her academic credentials include a Master of Advanced Nursing Practice and a Graduate Certificate in Nursing (General Practice). She played a pivotal role in the CEDRiC project, which received the 2017 Queensland Premier's Award, developing toolkits for geriatric emergency interventions.

Her research interests focus on improving geriatric care, palliative approaches, and innovative models for health collaboration. Current work emphasizes compassionate communities and care coordination systems for elderly populations.
