Nicoleta Maynard

Nicoleta Maynard serves as a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Director of Engineering Education at Monash University's Faculty of Engineering. She also holds the position of CDIO Chair for Australia and New Zealand, leading the Monash Engineering Education Research Knowledge Advancement Team (MEERKAT).

Her research focuses on transformative approaches in engineering education, with particular emphasis on STEM pedagogy, Problem-Based Learning implementation through the CDIO framework, and the development of engineering identity among students. Her work examines team dynamics within engineering contexts to optimize collaborative learning environments and professional development.

As Director of Engineering Education, she oversees curriculum development and educational innovation across engineering programs at Monash University. Her leadership in the MEERKAT initiative drives evidence-based improvements in engineering education practices through systematic research and knowledge dissemination.
