Nicole Vilkner is a musicologist and professor at Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music, specializing in salon culture, opera, and the interplay between music, architecture, and urban soundscapes, with a focus on nineteenth-century Paris. She integrates interdisciplinary approaches into her scholarship and teaching.
