Nicole Robitaille is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. She holds a PhD in Marketing from the Rotman School of Management (2014), an MSc in Marketing from Concordia University (2008), and a BSc in Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience) from Concordia (2006).
Her research focuses on behavioral science, intersecting consumer decision-making and public policy. She uses field and lab experiments to study financial, health, and ethical behaviors. Notable work includes behavioral interventions to increase organ donation (awarded the Financial Times Responsible Business Education Award and Amethyst Award), and tax compliance nudges for organizations.
Robitaille advises governments, including the Canadian and Ontario Behavioral Insights Units. She is a member of the National Financial Literacy Research Sub-Committee, and affiliated with the Scotiabank Centre for Customer Analytics. Her work appears in Journal of Marketing, Management Science, and Harvard Business Review.
Teaching includes courses on consumer behavior, marketing strategy, and introductory marketing at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
