Nicole Martin

Nicole Martin is a Faculty Research Assistant at Oregon State University's Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, affiliated with the College of Agricultural Sciences. She works under Principal Investigator Dr. Jay Pscheidt, focusing on managing hazelnut diseases such as Eastern Filbert Blight, Bacterial Blight, and Kernel Mold through experimental and applied research.

Her research spans ecosystem restoration, nutrient cycling, and invasive species control in Hawaiian lowland wet forests, as well as agricultural disease management. Recent publications highlight her contributions to functional trait-based restoration, plant-animal diversity interactions, and global impacts of non-native species.
