Nicole Cacal is a Part-time Assistant Professor at the Parsons School of Design, part of The New School. She is the Founder and CEO of Forbes Ignite, a consultancy focused on sustainable transformation and a global network of changemakers in technology, sustainability, and social impact. Previously, she worked at a global start-up incubator and served as Interim Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at an impact-focused private equity fund.
She holds a BBA in Finance, International Business, and Economics from the University of Hawaii; an MSc in Strategic Design from Parsons School of Design; and an Executive MSc in Technology Management from Columbia University.
Her research interests include human-centered design, AI ethics, sustainable business models, and emerging technologies. She teaches courses such as 'Business Models & Ent Strategy' and 'Financial Management' at Parsons School of Design. Her writings can be found on Medium.
