Nicole A. Lewis serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator in Speech Language Pathology at an Erie-based academic institution. With over 11 years of pediatric clinical experience, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Phonetics, Speech Sound Disorders, Pediatric Feeding, and Clinical Methods across multiple course codes (CSD 202, CSD 305, CSD 425, CSD 428, GSLP602, GSLP605/607, GSLP736/737).
Her clinical expertise centers on pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and speech sound disorders, with specialization in diverse pediatric populations. She integrates real-world clinical practice into academic training, emphasizing the development of clinical confidence and competence in future speech-language pathologists through hands-on mentoring.
Professor Lewis actively supervises students during clinical practicum (CSD 428) and CLINC I-VI rotations, guiding their transition from classroom theory to practical application. Her mentorship philosophy focuses on cultivating compassionate, skilled practitioners capable of transforming children's communication outcomes through evidence-based approaches.
