Nicolas Vogt-Reimuth serves as a Researcher at the Department of Political Science and Political Education, University of Göttingen, since April 2025. He teaches Subject-specific didactic skills in political science I and II for the Bachelor of Politics program, focusing on practical pedagogical training for future educators.
His academic credentials include a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in English/American Studies and Social Sciences, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Philosophy from the University of Münster and Trinity College Dublin (2022). He completed his teacher training with the Second State Examination for grammar schools in July 2023 after a preparatory service at LASUB Leipzig.
Vogt-Reimuth's research centers on three interconnected domains: (1) anti-Semitism-critical political education, (2) democracy education examining the ethical limits of controversial discourse, and (3) theoretical frameworks for political and philosophical education with emphasis on criticism and maturity ideals. His 2022 thesis addressed conspiracy theories as an ethical education challenge, reflecting his commitment to fostering critical citizenship in polarized societies.
His sole documented publication (2020) analyzes cultural preservation debates through moral philosophy lenses in migration contexts. This early work establishes his interdisciplinary methodology connecting political theory, ethics, and educational practice—themes that continue to inform his current research on democratic resilience.
As an emerging scholar, Vogt-Reimuth has not yet received major scientific awards. His professional trajectory shows progression from secondary school teaching (until February 2025) to university-level research and instruction, with demonstrated expertise in both classroom teaching and academic research supervision through prior tutoring roles.
