Dr. Nicolas Rennuy is a Senior Lecturer at York Law School, University of York, where he serves as Chair of the Board of Examiners. He specializes in EU law and private international law with research focused on migrants' access to welfare benefits. His academic background includes a BA and MA from Ghent University, an LLM from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD from Ghent University.
Rennuy's research examines EU social security coordination mechanisms, free movement law, and the implications of Brexit on cross-border benefits. His work integrates perspectives from private international law and EU administrative law to analyze transnational legal systems.
His publications primarily investigate judicial control frameworks, social security coordination challenges, and policy reforms in EU labor mobility. Recent works exhibit consistent focus on regulatory enforcement, benefit portability, and legal harmonization across jurisdictions.
