Michael Dougan is a Professor of European Law at the University of Liverpool, appointed in 2004. He previously held Lecturer positions at the University of Cambridge and University College London. He leads the Common Market Law Review as Joint Editor since 2007, the premier journal in EU legal studies. His roles include Chair of the Law Sub-Panel for the UK's Research Excellence Framework 2029 and membership in international research evaluations (e.g., Portugal's 2024-25 exercise).
