Nicolas Buchler

Nicolas Buchler is an Associate Professor at North Carolina State University, affiliated with the Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences and the Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Program cluster in Modeling the Living Embryo. His research explores interactions between cell cycle and metabolic rhythms, focusing on how these interactions drive disease or novel biological functions.

• Education: B.S. in Physics (UC San Diego), Ph.D. in Biophysics (University of Michigan)
• Research Areas: Systems biology of gene networks, computational modeling of cellular dynamics, fungal/yeast cell cycle regulation
• Collaborations: Studies circadian clocks and regulatory systems across animals, plants, and microbes
