Nicola Watson serves as Lecturer and Stage 3 Co-ordinator in Communication Design at Gray's School of Art, Robert Gordon University, where she has taught since 2010. Previously, she held part-time teaching roles at North East Scotland College (NESCol) and facilitated workshops at Peacock Visual Arts.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design for Digital Media (2003-2007)
- Post Graduate Certificate in TQFE from University of Aberdeen (2008-2009)
- Master of Science in Electronic Imaging & Interaction from University of Dundee (2008-2009)
Watson's research explores Decentralised Design through blockchain-based creative education platforms, Creative Education methodologies, and Creative Community development. Her current international collaboration (Japan/Germany/US/Canada/France) builds tools to support marginalized youth, extending her expertise in graphic design, augmented reality, and immersive media into social impact contexts.
