Nicola Turner

Nicola Turner is a Lecturer at the Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she has been teaching on the MA Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship (MA CCE) since 2014. With thirty years of professional experience in the cultural and creative sector, she brings substantial industry expertise to her academic role, having worked at organizations including the Cultural Leadership Programme, Arts Council England, Nesta, and University of the Arts London.

Her academic background includes an MA in History from the University of Cambridge (1992). She also serves as Director of NT Creative Arts Ltd since 2011, through which she offers strategic development, creative project and event management, and training services.

Dr. Turner specializes in cultural leadership and entrepreneurship, with a focus on supporting and developing people across the arts and creative industries. Her work spans the UK and international contexts, with consultancy including the design and delivery of leadership programmes such as the ACCELERATE Programme for the British Council Australia; International Creative Entrepreneurs for Creative Scotland; and the SEAD Program for the Mekong Cultural Hub and the British Council. She emphasizes leadership development, creative and agile planning, and entrepreneurship within cultural contexts.

Her recent publications demonstrate her international engagement, particularly through conference presentations and workshops focused on cultural enterprise and leadership development in diverse contexts including Iraq and South Korea. These works examine culturally appropriate leadership models and sustainable creative enterprise development.

Through NT Creative Arts Ltd, Dr. Turner provides consultancy, project and event development, training, facilitation, and coaching services, working with a team of experienced associates to support creative enterprises and leadership development worldwide, specializing in leadership, entrepreneurship, and creative planning across the arts and creative industries.
