Nicola L. B. Pohl is a Professor and Joan & Marvin Carmack Chair in Bioorganic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Indiana University Bloomington. She holds a B.A. from Harvard College (1991) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1997). Following an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University’s Department of Chemical Engineering, she joined Iowa State University in 2000 as a Professor of Chemistry and Chemical & Biological Engineering, where she also held the Wilkinson Professor of Interdisciplinary Engineering. She moved to Indiana University in 2012. Her research focuses on Analytical Chemical Biology, Organic Chemistry, and interdisciplinary applications in bioorganic systems.
