Nicla Riverso-Levander

Nicla Riverso-Levander is a Part-Time Lecturer of Italian in the Department of French & Italian Studies at the University of Washington's College of Arts & Sciences. She holds an M.A. in Italian (2003) and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (2010), both from the University of Washington. Her research focuses on late Medieval and Renaissance Italian literary culture, early modern European textual practices, gender studies, theater, and Counter-Reformation politics and religion. She has published articles and book chapters on these topics. Over 25 years, she has taught Italian language, literature, and culture across institutions in Italy and the U.S.
