Notable projects include his book Yiddish Paris (2022), which examines theater's role in community-building, and studies on Jewish vegetarianism as political identity and the representation of the Spanish Civil War in Yiddish media.
Professional roles include managing editor of East European Jewish Affairs and American Jewish History, and project manager for the Digital Yiddish Theatre Project. His scholarship bridges cultural history with urban studies, exploring how marginalized communities navigate national identities through everyday practices.
Publications demonstrate a focus on understudied areas like Jewish sports organizations, Holocaust memory, and transnational antifascist movements. His work highlights intersections between cultural production and political action in 20th-century Europe.
