Nick Tobin is a Lecturer and Principal Researcher at Karolinska Institutet's Department of Oncology-Pathology, leading the Cancer Bioinformatics team. He holds a Docent in Bioinformatics and focuses on integrative analysis of high-throughput 'omics data and clinico-pathological information for translational breast and pan-cancer research.
- Key research areas include molecular biomarkers' prognostic/treatment predictive value
- Cell-cycle biology from pan-cancer 'omics perspectives
His 15 most recent publications (2025-2020) span oncology, bioinformatics, immunology, and molecular biology, addressing topics like gene expression signatures, immune microenvironment characterization, and cell-cycle dynamics across cancers. He has held teaching roles since 2021, including responsibility for the Molecular Medicine-Oncology course, and serves as Director of Education at Onk-Pat since 2021. Collaborations include Linda Lindström's Group for translational breast cancer research.
