Professor Nick Rowbottom is a Professor of Accounting and Corporate Reporting at the Department of Accounting, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham. His research focuses on innovations in corporate reporting, including sustainability reporting, digital reporting (XBRL/iXBRL), and integrated reporting. He actively collaborates with regulators, practitioners, and funding bodies, contributing to policy through his role on the UK Sustainability Disclosure Technical Advisory Committee.

His research interests center on narrative corporate reporting, including management commentary, ESG/CSR reporting, and integrated reporting, as well as digital corporate reporting using XBRL standards.
