Dr. Nick Mulé is Professor at York University with joint appointments in the School of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies and the School of Social Work. His research examines social inclusion/exclusion of LGBTQ+ communities in social policy, advocacy regulation in the nonprofit sector, and develops queer liberation theory frameworks.
He currently leads the 2SLGBTQ+ Poverty in Canada Partnership Grant study and investigates impacts of advocacy restrictions on charities. Dr. Mulé founded Queer Ontario and has held leadership positions in multiple LGBTQ+ organizations including Amnesty International's LGBT Action Circle.
He teaches social justice at the doctoral level and sexual activism at undergraduate level, bridging academic and community engagement. Dr. Mulé's work advances critical perspectives on LGBTQ+ movement politics and policy recognition.
