Nick Kapp

Nick Kapp serves as a Lecturer at Skyline College within the Science Education Alliance-Phage Hunters Advancing Genomics and Evolutionary Science (SEA-PHAGES) program. He functions as Additional Instructor for biotechnology courses focused on hands-on phage research.

His primary research domains include:

Kapp teaches both laboratory-based phage discovery (BTEC 480) and computational genomics courses (BTEC 484), utilizing hosts like Arthrobacter globiformis and Propionibacterium acnes. His instruction spans multiple academic terms from 2023-2025 with freshman cohorts of 15-29 students meeting 3 times weekly for 4.5-5.0 hours.
