Nick Edgar is a Senior Lecturer in Policing and Director of the Teesside Policing Clinic at Teesside University, collaborating with Cleveland Police. He previously served as a Police Officer with Cleveland Police (1997–2022), holding roles such as Tactical Firearms Commander and Post-Incident Manager. He is pursuing a PhD at Teesside University and serves as an External Examiner for Policing Programmes at Sunderland University from 2024–2027.

Research Interests: Focuses on organizational behavior, alcohol-related crime, policing culture post-COVID, and public order. His work includes advising on policing doctrine and contributing to evidence-based assessments.

Labs/Teams: Directs the Teesside Policing Clinic, a university-police partnership addressing real-world policing challenges.
