Nick Butler is a Visiting Professor at King's College London, based in The Policy Institute within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. He chairs Promus Associates and Sure Chill, a company developing off-grid refrigeration technology. Previously, he served as Group Vice President for Strategy and Policy at BP, Senior Policy Adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and founded the Policy Institute at King's. He advises the Cavendish Laboratory (Cambridge) on energy policy and the UK Government's Faraday Institution on energy storage.
