Nichole Scaglione, PhD, CHES is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Education & Behavior at the University of Florida. She specializes in developing technology-based interventions to reduce sexual violence and substance misuse in adolescents, college students, and military populations. Her work is funded by NIH, CDC, and DoD grants.
Education:

- BA in Psychology, Miami University (2006)
Research Interests:
- Risk behaviors associated with sexual violence outcomes
- Decision-making processes around substance use and sexual risk
- Event-level data collection and intervention methods
- Adolescent/young adult and military populations
Current Projects:
- NIH/NIAAA-funded intervention targeting sexual violence prevention (R34 grant)
- CDC U01 evaluation of bystander training in alcohol-serving venues
- CDC R01 study assessing sexual violence prevention for high school boys
Lab Activities: Leads the Sexual Assault & Alcohol Prevention Research (SAPR) Lab, training graduate/postdoc researchers who frequently transition to top-tier academic and industry roles. Current openings for PhD students (2025 entry) and undergraduate/master's researchers.
