Nichole Price

Nichole Price is a Professor of Environmental Studies at Colby College. She specializes in benthic marine ecology, focusing on how global change phenomena like ocean acidification and warming affect coastal ecosystems. Her research spans tropical coral reefs and temperate systems, with applications to regional and global carbon cycling.

Price employs advanced tools such as autonomous oceanographic instruments, custom experimental aquaria, and environmental DNA (eDNA) to investigate ecological questions related to population dynamics, biological feedbacks, and ecosystem services.
