Nicholas Sewitch is a Specialist Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Monmouth University within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a B.A. in Sociology and American Studies from Franklin and Marshall College and a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law.
With 29 years of experience as an assistant prosecutor in the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office specializing in homicide cases, Prof. Sewitch now serves as a Career Advisor for the department and organizes the annual Career Networking Event each spring. His expertise bridges legal practice and academic instruction in criminal law and procedures.
His research interests focus on Criminal Justice, Legal Systems, and Sociological Implications of Law. He teaches foundational courses including Criminal Law (CJ 305) and Criminal Procedure (CJ 325) consistently across semesters.
