Nicholas Mohlmann is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of West Florida, affiliated with the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. His research focuses on autobiographical discourse in American literature, particularly in popular non-fiction contexts.

- Master’s in English and Creative Writing from University of Maine
- Ph.D. in English from Purdue University
Mohlmann’s work bridges historical and contemporary analyses of self-representation in American writing. His first book explores the intersection of corporate management literature and Donald Trump’s autobiographical narratives, while his ongoing research investigates paranormal non-fiction as a lens for understanding post-1975 autobiographical practices.
His scholarly output centers on autobiography theory, colonial American history, and literary analysis. Current projects focus on paranormal non-fiction’s role in shaping personal narratives.
Mohlmann contributes to academic initiatives including the UWF Writing Lab, English Internship Program, and First-Year Composition. He teaches courses spanning early American literature, poetry analysis, and Native American literary topics.
