Nicholas Fox is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Huddersfield, affiliated with the School of Human and Health Sciences and the Department of Social and Psychological Sciences. He holds an honorary professorship at the University of Sheffield, where he previously served as Professor of Sociology (2008–2009). His research focuses on new materialist and posthuman social theory, applied to health, environment, technology, and political economy. He has authored influential books such as *The Body* (Polity, 2012) and *Sociology and the New Materialism* (Sage, 2017), and has held major grants from the ESRC, NHS, and UK Department of Health.

- Critiques of capitalism and commercial determinants of health
