Professor Niamh Hourigan is a distinguished sociologist serving as Vice-President of Academic Affairs at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Limerick. In this leadership role, she manages MIC's academic activities and maintains intellectual quality across teaching and research while overseeing Student Academic Administration, Student Life, Teaching and Learning, and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Interculturalism.
Her external appointments include membership on the Teaching Council, the Board of the Central Applications Office (CAO), and the Irish Department of Justice's Review Team of Civil Legal Aid.
