Professor Niamh Stack is the Head of the Department of Psychology at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Limerick. She specializes in educational psychology, focusing on issues such as school support systems, child development, and educational equity. Her recent research highlights urgent needs for multidisciplinary support in DEIS schools, contributing to policy development and educational reform. Professor Stack is actively involved in research ethics through MIC’s Mary Immaculate Research Ethics Committee (MIREC) and has secured notable funding, including the New Foundations award for critical thinking research (2025). She also contributes to academic leadership within MIC’s Research & Graduate School, supporting postgraduate training and ethical research practices.
