Netta Green

Dr. Netta Green is a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Martin Buber Society of Fellows, Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2022-2026), specializing in French and European historical studies. Previously, she held the Charlotte Elizabeth Procter Honorary Fellowship at Princeton University (2021-2022) and the Georges Lurcy Fellowship for Research in France (2019-2020).

Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in History from Princeton University (2016-2022), an M.A. in History from Tel Aviv University (2014-2016), and a Bachelor's degree from Tel Aviv University's Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary Program for Outstanding Students (2010-2014).

Green's research critically examines inheritance systems, family structures, and economic thought in revolutionary and Napoleonic France. Her work bridges historical analysis with contemporary discussions of social inequality, focusing on how state interventions in inheritance practices shaped modern wealth distribution. Methodologically, she combines archival research with analysis of family books, genealogies, and bureaucratic records.
