Nese Nasif is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, College of Business Administration. She joined the institution in 2016 and teaches courses such as Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Management, and Marketing Research. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, consumer neuroscience, and pedagogical innovations in higher education. Dr. Nasif holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, an MA in Education from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Texas–Rio Grande Valley.
Her scholarly contributions span topics including stereotype threat in marketing education, environmentalism constructs in consumer research, and government services quality. She actively promotes inclusive teaching practices through initiatives like the Inclusive Teaching Institute and serves as a DEI Faculty Fellow. Beyond academia, she engages in community service, including leadership roles in Girl Scouts and local boards.
Key awards include the 2023 Heritage Award for the Hear, Here Project and recognition as a DEI Fellow. Her pedagogical approach emphasizes critical analysis, ethical decision-making, and active learning strategies in the classroom.
