Nelly Valsangiacomo is a full professor of contemporary history in the History Section of the Faculty of Letters at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). She holds a background in contemporary history and Italian literature from the University of Fribourg (1987-1992). Her academic career includes roles as an assistant professor (2000-2004) and associate professor (2005-2006) at the University of Fribourg, a researcher at the University of Turin (2004-2005), and a professor at PTC Lausanne (2006-2011).
