Raphaëlle Ruppen Coutaz is an Assistant Professor in the History Section at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), a position she has held since 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from UNIL (2006) and earned her PhD in 2015 with a thesis titled *The Voice of Switzerland Abroad. Radio and International Cultural Relations (1932-1949)*, later published by Éditions Alphil. Her research focuses on international cultural diplomacy, media history, and educational internationalism through a transnational lens.
She has held visiting roles at the European University Institute (Florence) and the Laboratoire d’Excellence Écrire une Histoire nouvelle de l’Europe (Paris). She participates in interdisciplinary projects such as the Sinergia-funded *impresso – Media Monitoring of the Past* and studies the history of Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SSR). She collaborates with École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) via the SHS program, co-developing courses like the UNIL-EPFL *Press and Digital Methodologies*.
