معرفی
Sagane Joye is a Researcher affiliated with the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). She holds academic roles in multiple research groups, including Robert Waterhouse's group (evolution of arthropod moulting processes), Marc Robinson’s group (computational biologist for Bgee database), and previously Didier Trono's group at EPFL (cancer genomics). Her work focuses on bioinformatics, genome assembly, and transcriptomic analyses for evolutionary studies.
Education:
- Bachelor's in Life Sciences (UNIL, 2017)
- Master's in Life Sciences: Behaviour, Evolution, Conservation (UNIL, 2019)
Research Interests: Sagane specializes in genomics and transcriptomics applied to evolutionary biology. Her projects include developing reproducible workflows for analyzing transposable element-driven gene transcripts (TcGTs), contributing to the ERGA Pilot Project (Swiss species genome assemblies), and enhancing Bgee’s transcriptomic data pipelines. She emphasizes tool development to support scientific communities.
Labs & Projects:
- Robert Waterhouse’s group: Arthropod genome assembly/annotation
- Marc Robinson’s group: Bgee database development
- European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA) Pilot Project
