Research Interests: Nikolic's work explores accessory genetic elements in bacterial populations, stress adaptation mechanisms, phage-bacteria interactions, and novel antimicrobial treatments. Her research bridges molecular biology with ecological and evolutionary perspectives.
Teaching: She contributes to modules in Bioscience Education, Environmental Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, and In-Silico Research Projects, while serving as a Personal Academic Tutor.
Current Projects: PhD opportunities on antibiotic-resistant bacteria and Master's projects on phage infection are available. Contact via N.Nikolic@soton.ac.uk for group membership inquiries.
