Professor Neil Hotchin is a Professor in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Birmingham’s School of Biosciences, serving as Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies. He holds a BSc from the University of York and a PhD from the University of London. His research focuses on cell-environment interactions, particularly the roles of Rho GTPases and LAR membrane tyrosine phosphatase in regulating cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation. He teaches cell biology courses and runs a Cancer Biology module at the undergraduate level, while contributing to postgraduate education. Professor Hotchin’s work has been published in high-impact journals and he serves as an Editor for PLoS ONE since 2007.
