Negin Majedi is Assistant Professor in the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University. Her research explores how tissue mechanics influence immune responses to solid cancers, guiding design of tumor-responsive biomaterials.
Education includes:
- Ph.D., Bioengineering, UCLA
- M.Sc., Bioengineering, EPFL
- B.Sc., Biomedical Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology
Research combines biomaterial design with immunology to develop lymph node-mimicking implants that boost anti-tumor immunity. Translational experience includes founding Symphony Biosciences to advance cancer immunotherapies. Recent publications demonstrate engineered depletion of regulatory T cells as strategy to overcome immunosuppression.
Awards recognize scientific innovation and entrepreneurship, including Technology in Space Prize and NIH commercialization support.
