Marija Nedeljković serves as a Research intern specializing in Biochemistry and molecular biology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. She holds dual Master's qualifications: a 2023 Master in Science Communicator and Innovation from the University of Trento's Department of Sociology and Social Research, and a 2022 Master in Biology with focus on Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Belgrade.
Her educational foundation includes a 2021 Graduate degree in Biology concentrating on Molecular Biology and Physiology, also from the University of Belgrade. Since 2023, she has advanced to the position of Researcher in preparation at her alma mater, demonstrating rapid professional development within the institution.
Marija's research concentrates on molecular interactions between microorganisms and hosts, specifically investigating type 3 secretion systems—a critical mechanism in bacterial pathogenesis. Her work bridges biochemical analysis with microbiological applications, potentially contributing to novel antimicrobial strategies and deeper understanding of host defense mechanisms.
She maintains active scholarly profiles on LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and ORCID platforms, facilitating academic collaboration and dissemination of her research findings within the international scientific community.
