Marija Pinjić is a Research Trainee at the Department of Neurophysiology, Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", University of Belgrade. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Animal and Human Physiology since October 2024 and holds a Master's degree in Genomics from the same university (2023).

Research Interests: Her work focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegenerative and malignant diseases, with a specific emphasis on autophagy, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neuroinflammation. She investigates these mechanisms as potential therapeutic targets.
Affiliation: Department of Neurophysiology, University of Belgrade. Her research is supported by the STRIMHealth project and involves collaboration with institutions like iMed ULisboa.
