Dr. Nazia Mehrban is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) of Biotechnology in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath. She leads a multidisciplinary research group developing novel biomaterials for tissue regeneration and medical devices.
Research focuses on:
- Designing smart biomaterials for tissue repair
- Peptide-based hydrogels for regenerative medicine
- Implantable materials for soft robotics
- Extracellular matrix reconstruction
Her group combines chemistry, biology, and engineering approaches to create tunable biomaterials that control cellular behavior. Mehrban collaborates widely across academia and industry to address unmet clinical needs.
