Nazaret Peña Gil

Nazaret Peña Gil is a Junior Researcher in the Department of Microbiology A at the Universitat de València, specializing in Microbiology within the INFECTGUT research group focused on Gastrointestinal infections.

She earned her Doctorate from the Universitat de València in 2023 with the thesis "Role of gut microbiota glycosyl hydrolases in rotavirus and norovirus infection", supervised by Dr. Jesús Rodríguez Díaz and Dr. Roberto Vicente Gozalbo Rovira.

Her research centers on microbial mechanisms in viral gastrointestinal diseases, with key interests in:
