Nathan Walter (he/him/his) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University and Co-Director of the Center of Media Psychology and Social Influence (COM-PSI). His work focuses on strategic storytelling, misinformation correction, and the role of emotion in communication. Affiliated with the School of Communication, Walter studies health, political, and science communication contexts.

Research Interests: Walter investigates how emotional dynamics and narrative structures enhance the effectiveness of "good information" while countering misinformation. His ecological models examine media psychology in health campaigns, entertainment education, and digital ecosystems.
Grants and Collaborations: Supported by the NIH/FDA, Peterson Foundation, Chicago Center for Diabetes Translation Research, and Delaney Foundation, his recent projects explore innovative misinformation debunking techniques and behavior modification strategies.
Labs and Teams: As Co-Director of COM-PSI, he leads interdisciplinary research on media's role in social influence, integrating psychology, communication, and public health frameworks.
