Nathan Reiff is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at Swarthmore College, where he serves as Director of Choirs, conducting Chorus and Garnet Singers and teaching additional music courses. His career spans roles as Resident Conductor of the Harvard Glee Club (2017-2023), Choral Studies Faculty at Boston Conservatory at Berkley, and founder/co-facilitator of Cambridge Common Voices, the first neurodiverse choral ensemble in Cambridge, MA.

Reiff’s scholarly work explores the intersection of polystylism and incrementalism in Alfred Schnittke’s Concerto for Choir, the practice of hospice singing, and the works of Grace Williams. His conducting mentors include Jerry Blackstone, Marguerite Brooks, Jeffrey Douma, and David Hill. He has taught choral repertoire at Boston Conservatory and worked with ensembles such as the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, Yale Glee Club, and Ann Arbor Cantata Singers.
