Nathan Link holds the H.W. Stodghill, Jr. and Adele H. Stodghill Professor of Music at Centre College. He earned his BA from Macalester College, MA from The University of Washington, and PhD, MA, & MPhil from Yale University in historical musicology. His academic work focuses on music history, opera, songwriting, and narrative, and he leads Centre's Kentucky Ensemble.

Dr. Link's research culminated in the 2023 monograph A Poetics of Handel’s Operas (Oxford University Press), reflecting his expertise in opera and historical musicology. His work bridges scholarly analysis with practical music education.
In recognition of his educational contributions, he received Kentucky's Governor's Award for the Arts in Arts Education in 2015. He also mentors students through Centre Posse 12 and maintains an active role in academic and musical communities.
