Adele Jakumeit is a Research Associate at the Department of Musicology at Georg-August University of Göttingen and a lecturer at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Münster. She holds a BA in Music Journalism from the Technical University of Dortmund (2017) and an MA in Musicology from the University of Münster (2020), where her thesis focused on music and resistance against National Socialism in the Netherlands. Her doctoral project examines the Handel Renaissance of the 1920s.

Research interests span Baroque opera, reception history, music and media criticism, and the intersection of music with National Socialist politics. She has contributed to projects like the DFG-funded Nordic Music Politics study (2019–2020). Her teaching includes courses on music theater, lied aesthetics, and historical counterpoint. She also serves as a study advisor, library coordinator, and public engagement lead for the Musicological Seminar.
Publications include scholarly articles on Handel’s revival in Münster and conference presentations on performance analysis and music journalism. She actively engages in music criticism through radio broadcasts and program notes for institutions like WDR3.
