Nathan Dowell is a Senior Lecturer at Ohio State University. He holds a B.A. from Clear Creek College, an M.A. in Philosophy from Liberty University, and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion from Yale Divinity School.
His research focuses on epistemology, particularly a priori justification, presentational phenomenology, and intuition. He explores arguments about the infallibility of intuitive justification and engages with topics in the philosophy of religion, epistemic contextualism, and formal epistemology. His work also examines the epistemologies and metaphysics of early modern philosophers such as Descartes, Reid, Leibniz, and Kant.
Outside academia, Dowell enjoys reading poetry, fiction, psychology, history, and productivity literature.
