Nathan Cook is a Lecturer at the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences, The University of Queensland. He is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Sports Dietitian (AccSD) with expertise in sustainable foodservices and clinical research.

His research focuses on food waste management in hospital foodservices, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 12. He has pioneered consensus tools for food waste audits and explored waste diversion strategies to reduce landfill impacts. Additional interests include sports nutrition for recreational runners and sustainable foodservice systems.
Recent publications demonstrate expertise in environmental sustainability, dietary service optimization, and behavior change frameworks. He collaborates on projects related to organic food integration, pandemic response impacts on food waste, and innovation in sustainable food product development.
Dr. Cook is available for supervision of higher-degree research students and welcomes collaborations in sustainable foodsystems, hospital nutrition, and clinical research areas.
